TheForkUserWe really liked the relaxed yet charming atmosphere of the place. We liked that there are two areas: a bar and a dining room, and inside there's a sort of private area with a round table for approximately 10 people. The distance between tables is good, except for the passage area, which is slightly closer together. The menu includes delicious burgers with different meat compositions of your choice in three sizes. The cheesecake with raspberry ice cream, which we ordered to share, was a good size. As for the service, it was very good. The truth is, we went at lunchtime, and even though it was full, it didn't take long. There's a sign on the door warning that the music volume is loud, and it's true. We left with a very good feeling and a great taste in our mouths.

TheForkUserThe paradores have a lot of common approaches across the chain - not surprising and a way of ensuring that overall standards are good; but it can also seem like it discourages local initiative at times. Not in the Restaurante Parador de Gredos though. The food was excellent, with imaginitive touches and a feel for the locality. The service was efficient but at the same time friendly and relaxed. We ate in several parador restaurants and bars during our recent visit to Spain, and the Restaurante Parador de Gredos was without any doubt the best. And if you're visiting, take the opportunity to take your post-prandial coffee up to the balcony of the hotel and drink in spectacular views over the trees and the mountains, and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
